- 2 tsp. extra-virgin olive oil
- 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
- 1/4 cup unsweetened orange juice
- 1 tbsp. water
- 2 garlic cloves minced
- 2 1/2 tbsp. cilantro, minced
- 2 tsp. ground cumin
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
- 1 small uncooked onion, chopped
- Puree ingredients in blender until smooth.
- Place protein of your choice in a dish and pour marinade over it. Marinate no more than 20 minutes, turning at least once. Spoon leftover marinade (boiled for 3-5 minutes to destroy bacteria) over cooked fish, if desired.
